RAILA ODINGA casts his vote in KIBERA…still confident of a first round win

CORD flag bearer Prime Minister Raila Odinga cast his vote at the Old Kibera Primary school at about 9:30 a.m this morning.

The PM became only the second Presidential candidate to cast his vote after Narc Kenya Martha Karua led by example by voting at 6:28 a.m in Kirinyaga.

Speaking after casting his vote, the PM said that he was sure that CORD would win the election in the first round;

“I am confident that we will this election in the first round. I am sure that Kenyans will today express their confidence in us,” he said.

The PM also admitted that he had reports that BVR kits are not working in some areas but expressed confidence that the IEBC would clear up the problem;

“The voting process is going smoothly, I am aware of hitches in other polling stations, IEBC assures they are sorting out the anomalies,” he said.

“I am pleased by the number of Kenyans that has come out to vote. This is a very important historic election,” he added.

Jubilee alliance No.2 William Ruto cast his vote a few minutes after 7:00 a.m at a polling station in Uasin Gishu.
