Immediate former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando was on
Monday barred from entering Royal Media Services in Nairobi, to represent
Jubilee Alliance in Monday Live talk
show.
Kabando who is a
controversial politician, ranted on his Facebook account saying he has been
denied entry into Citizen Studio, despite coming all the way from Mukurweini in
Nyeri County.
“Friends I have been denied entry to Citizen Studio,
despite coming all the way from Mukurweini yet, Citizen TV announcing that they
are waiting for me, yet am sitting right inside waiting room talking. Senior editor
has told me the owners are angry with my last show. That I insulted. Unbelievable,”
Kabando said in his Facebook account.
Sources close to the MP
said, Citizen TV which is a propaganda TV for Coalition for Reform and Democracy
(CORD), were infuriated by the soaring popularity of Jubilee Alliance, reason
for barring Kabando.
Citizen TV is owned by S.K
Macharia who is chief campaigner of CORD Presidential flag bearer Prime
Minister Raila Odinga and is also a Summit Member at the Raila led Alliance.
Reports indicate that Kabando was banned under
the request of SK Macharia who thought Kabando might do a major damage to
trailing Raila Odinga’s popularity.
