UNITED WE STAND: SONKO and SHEBESH join UHURU and RUTO at WAITITU’s manifesto launch despite reports of a rift

Kenyatta's warning came after Shebesh and Sonko announced that they were now backing Mbaru/MIKE KARIUKIKenyatta’s warning came after Shebesh and Sonko announced that they were now backing Mbaru/MIKE KARIUKI
Jubilee presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta has come to the defense of TNA Nairobi Governor aspirant Ferdinand Waititu and urged party candidates and supporters to back his bid.
He was speaking during Waititu’s manifesto launch at Panafric hotel in Nairobi.
Uhuru’s call came at a time when former nominated MP Rachel Shebesh and outgoing Makadara MP Gideon Mbuvi ‘Sonko’ had announced that they were now backing Alliance Party of Kenya candidate Jimnah Mbaru. Uhuru’s latest move appears to be a blow for Mbaru as the race for Nairobi Governor seat tightens between ODM’s Evans kidero and Waititu.
Jubilee flag bearer praised Robin Achoki, Waititu’s running mate, saying he has vast experience in budget management.
“Achoki has a lot of experience in budget management”, he said.
Waititu denied allegations that he was supporting Sonko’s opponent in the Nairobi senate seat.
“We are serious friends with Sonko”, Waititu said.
Uhuru asked Waititu, Sonko and Shebesh to shake hands in show of solidarity. Waititu promised that his team will deliver all the MPs seats in Nairobi.
“This team has no match. Others only read about Nairobi in newspapers. But this team knows and lives in Nairobi”, Waiitu said.
He faulted recent pollsters indicating that he was losing adding that it is a means to demoralise them.
Uhuru’s running mate William Ruto who was also present at the manifesto launch said the alliance had overcome many challenges and that was a ‘small attempt’ to derail their campaigns.

US and EU diplomats impressed by “MAGICAL UHURU KENYATTA” during the Presidential Debate (OBAMA watching)

News just in indicates that top US and European Union diplomats were impressed by the performance of Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta during the second stint of the Presidential Debate held at Brookside International School on Monday evening.

Credible sources from the diplomatic circles said they even came to an agreement that he can make a great leader for Kenya if he is elected on March 4th during the general election.

The sources said that the envoys, who had converged at Stanley Hotel in Nairobi, were impressed that Kenyatta, who is the Jubilee Coalition presidential flagbearer, does not have any corruption scandal.
"You know this kid can make a very good President than the rest," said one envoy who was watching the debate.
The envoy compared Uhuru to Italian former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi who was alleged to have a criminal past when he was elected the Prime Minister in the 1990s’.
He said Berlusconi took the country to greater heights despite European Union opposing his candidature. Italy is one of the most developed countries in the world thanks to Berlusconi’s leadership.
Confirmed reports indicate that US President Barrack Obama was also watching the debate at the White House.

Tons Of Celebs Have Joined The Uhuru Kenyatta Bandwagon

Election season has reached peak fever pitch, with roadshows and concert rallies being a core part of each candidate's campaign.
Uhuru Kenyatta has been the most aggressive in this regard, with his Dunda Na Uhuru initiative which kicked off a few days ago. Uhuru has launched a solid manifesto for change, and it's authenticity is shining through, as loads of the top Kenyan celebrities have now publicly announced that they have TNA in their DNA. Here is a photo gallery of those who were at the most recent Dunda Na Uhuru Rally in Mombasa:

Former Radio Presenter Joshua Sang Endorses Raila Odinga

Former Radio Presenter Joshua Sang Endorses Raila Odinga
Just hours after the second and final episode of the historical Presidential Debate, former Kass FM’s presenter Joshua Arap Sang has finally broken his loud silence by endorsing CORD and ODM party leader RailaOdinga for the presidency.
Sang has dismissed the coalition between William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta as incapable of bringing peace between two dominant communities in the Rift Valley who have fought during elections since 1992.

In a recorded message to air on radio, Sang says only a president who is not from the two tribes will be able to bring peace between the two communities, concluding that he believes that President should be Raila.
He has also dismissed as lies, the perception created that Raila could have sent him to The Hague, saying senior government officials who were in office before the coalition, not Raila, coached witnesses to testify against him and Ruto in the case at the ICC.
“We are away in a foreign land with my brother because of allegations made against us. The truth must be told. In my opinion, the people who masterminded and planned to have me and my brother taken to The Hague did not include RailaOdinga,” Sang says.
In the statement which Sang says he recorded because of “heavy feelings in my heart,” the journalist traces what he terms “broken MOU’s of the last two elections in Kenya, including the 2008 power sharing deal.

REVEALED: RAILA ODINGA’s pointman and CORD’S ALFRED MUTUA campaigning for UHURU KENYATTA

Former government spokesman Alfred Mutua, who is a senior member of Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD), is campaigning for Uhuru Kenyatta’s Presidential bid in Ukambani.

Credible sources within Mutua’s circles, who is eyeing the Machakos County governor seat on a Wiper ticket, indicated that during yesterday’s tour of Prime Minister Raila Odinga in Ukambani, Mutua skipped the rallies as he was in his hometown drumming support for the son of Jomo.

The sources said Mutua, who is a close of ally of Uhuru Kenyatta, has been camping in Machakos County for more than one month campaigning for Uhuru Kenyatta.

A resident of Machakos town admitted to the Kenyan DAILY POST that there is a clarion call in Ukambani to vote their “in-laws” for the President.

“In Ukambani the clarion call is that hapa Chini Patia Wiper kule Juu tumpatie Muthoniwa - meaning in laws,” the resident said.

A CORD insider also told the DAILY POST that Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and immediate former Kangundo MPJohnstone Muthama are not in speaking terms as they blame each other for the loss of the Kamba vote to Uhuru/Ruto.

He says there may be a “big surprise” in Ukambani on Monday due to Uhuru Kenyatta’s soaring popularity in an area perceived to be Kalonzo Musyoka’s backyard.

Winner of Second Presidential debate

Mutahi Ngunyi has come out of the closet after taking a leave from the country’s political scene and this time starts with who won the second Presidential debate.
According to Mutahi, Martha Karua, Paul Muite and Ole Kiyiapi had completely no impact on their political following during the debate but the rest of the candidates including Mwalimu Dida really impressed.

The most impressive and high point for him during the debate was when Raila Odinga came to the defense of Uhuru Kenyatta over the land issue.

Raila said Uhuru Kenyatta was just an innocent party to the land issue and actually referred to him as an innocent inheritor.

Overall, the debate ended well but Mutahi Ngunyi seemed to think that Raila did well in general.

The UN speaks out on Kenya’s upcoming GENERAL ELECTIONS due next MONDAY

The United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has become the latest world figure to call for Kenyans to have peaceful and fair elections in March 4th.

The UN Sec-Gen conveyed his message of peace to President Mwai Kibaki on Wednesday through a telephone call.

Following the lead of other world leaders like US President Barrack Obama and his predecessor at the UN Koffi Annan, Ban also expressed “his sincere hope and belief that Kenyans working together and putting the collective interest of their country above any other consideration can ensure that the upcoming elections will be peaceful and credible".

These are the first elections since the disputed polls in 2007 and Ban recognized that the there have been success constitutional changes to “Kenya’s democracy and its electoral system since the last general election".

“He (Mr Ban) trusts that efforts made at many levels to prevent a repeat of past violence will be redoubled during the remainder of the campaign” he added.

The UN Sec-Gen also urged Kenyans to respect the autonomy of the Judiciary and that of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) which are the two bodies that are the heart of ensuring that next week elections are free and fair.

Ban also poured praise on the eight candidates currently in the Presidential race "for reaffirming their commitment to a peaceful and tolerant campaign and also for appealing to their supporters to do the same including rejecting inflammatory and fraudulent actions.”

Kenyan TV's puppet satire takes on elections

Kenyan TV's puppet satire takes on elections

Nearly four years after it went on the air following a long production struggle, Kenya’s controversial TV satire programme “The XYZ Show” is taking on the presidential and general elections with its characteristic wit and insight

Actors in lime-green hooded shirts patiently freeze under the blazing studio lights as a team hoists and adjusts impossibly funny loads on their heads. Gloved hands reach overhead and…voilà! Suddenly, a latex puppet springs to life.
“Quiet! I need silence, you guys are just chit-chatting. The puppeteers need to hear playback,” says the floor manager in a remarkably cool tone considering the ruckus around him.
For a moment, the assortment of cameramen, designers, puppeteers, light and sound technicians heed the warning – before picking up their "chit-chat" once again.
The playback – or audio track – starts up again. “This is The XYZ Special,” intones a voice on the speakers. “We are live at the election centre…”
This is the set of “The XYZ Show”, Kenya’s first-ever satirical puppet TV programme, which lampoons the country’s politicians and fearlessly tackles some of the country’s thorniest issues with side-splitting aplomb.
Days before Kenya’s landmark March 4 polls, the team is recording its election special at a studio in The GoDown Arts Centre in downtown Nairobi. This episode will air on Sunday, the eve of the elections, and there’s a palpable sense of purpose underlining the buzz in the room.
“This is a very critical moment for the show,” says Godfrey Mwampembwa, the programme’s creator and producer.
Mwampembwa – better known as “Gado” across Kenya – pauses briefly as he considers the occasion. “This is what we’ve worked for all these years. This is such an important election. This is such an important year for Kenya. As much as we have pushed for this freedom of expression, a lot more still needs to be done.”
Imprisoned presidents and dissected brains
A veteran newspaper cartoonist, Gado began his career more than two decades ago, when Daniel Arap Moi – a dictator accused of brutally crushing the opposition – held power.
Since then, Kenya has taken giant strides in freedom of expression, with the US-based Freedom House listing Kenya as “partly free”.
These days, “The XYZ Show” can get away with featuring a dissection of Moi’s insect-ridden brain in an attempt to understand Kenya’s endemic corruption.
In the old days, when he was finance minister, Uhuru Kenyatta – the son of Kenya’s founding father – earned notoriety for his defamation suits against local newspapers.
But these days, Kenyatta – who is a 2013 presidential candidate – is fair game for the show. Two years ago, “The XYZ Show” featured an episode with Kenyatta and outgoing President Mwai Kibaki behind bars at The Hague.
Kenyatta faces charges of crimes against humanity at The Hague for his alleged role in orchestrating the bloodshed after 2007 elections, which killed more than 1,000 people and displaced more than 600,000 others.
If elected, he could be the first sitting head of state to commute back and forth from The Hague – a prospect of rich satirical possibilities for “The XYZ Show”.
Nairobi via Paris to Kenyan TV
Gado has long known that Kenya had room for a satirical puppet TV show, but it took years to convince others to make it happen.
More than a decade ago, the 44-year-old political cartoonist was struggling to get such a programme on air. In 2003, on a visit to France, he asked his host, the Alliance Française, to set up a visit to Canal Plus, the TV station that broadcasts the satirical puppet show, “Les Guignols de l’info”.
“That visit was discouraging because their operation was so huge and we had nothing,” explains Gado. “But on the other hand, it was also very encouraging because it was like, man, this is great; we must do it.”
Years of hustling passed, including a clumsy attempt to make a puppet in Kenya before Gado managed to send a local sculptor to France for a month-long training session in puppet-making. That trip resulted in a pilot clip that Gado tried to sell to Kenyan TV stations.
But that proved to be the biggest challenge of them all, with local broadcasters refusing to sign on or cough up funds for the project.
In mid-2007, Gado happened to mention his pet project to a French journalist during an interview. “When I saw the pilot, I got it at once, having grown up with the French programme, “Les Guignols de l’info”. That was before the [December] 2007 elections,” said Marie Lora-Mungai, now the executive producer of “The XYZ Show”.

Months later, the disastrous elections and bloody aftermath unfolded to Lora-Mungai’s dismay. “I was surprised that such a show hadn’t made it to the broadcasters,” she explained.
When Gado and Lora-Mungai met again in early 2008, she decided to sign onto the project and put together a strategy change that relied on funding from international donors instead of from local TV stations.
After a year of fundraising, the first episode finally aired on Kenya’s Citizen TV in May 2009 – to scathing reviews.
“Things were not working well when we started. The animation was not good, the writing was very bad,” laughs Gado, displaying some of the sharp judgment that has helped whip the show to its current standards.
Finally, a concentrated silence
Nearly four years later, “The XYZ Show” has polished its act and is ready to tackle its first elections.
The excitement on the set is now palpable. With the sound rehearsals over, the cameras are ready to roll and the once-raucous room is now silent and concentrated.
“…and action!” says the director.
“This is The XYZ Special,” says a latex TV anchor called “Keff Joinange” - a doppelgänger for seasoned Kenyan journalist, Jeff Koinange. “We are live at the election centre…”

REVEALED: The man behind MUTUNGA – MUNGIKI threat letter – RAILA ODINGA’s and CORD’S VICTOR OWUOR

Barely a week after Chief Justice Dr Willy Mutunga claimed his life is danger, the man behind the threats was arrested on Friday.
Victor Owuor, a resident of Kibera was arrested on Friday at a cyber cafe in the sprawling slum and locked up at Kilimani Police Station where he was interrogated for the whole of Friday.
Owuor, who is an ardent supporter of Prime Minister Raila Odinga, was allegedly found at a cybercafe in Kibera making copies of letter.
The letter which was purportedly written by Mungiki men was aimed at tainting the name of Jubilee supremo Uhuru Kenyatta and his running mate William Ruto.
The “poison piece letter” has been scanned and was circulating on social media since Wednesday when Justice Mutunga revealed receiving it.
The letter warned the CJ and members of the judiciary of “dire consequences” if they delivered an adversarial judgment in a case questioning the eligibility of Uhuru and Ruto.
It is said the alleged letter was written under the command of CORD’s top hierarchy to taint the name of the Jubilee alliance but their plan backfired!

Candidates Attend Prophet Owuor’s Repentance Day PEACE at Uhuru Park rally

Prophet David Owuor of Repentance and Holiness church today got seven of the eight candidates currently in the running to be Kenya’s next President to promise to play their part in ensuring that the country has a peaceful and fair election.

The candidates who participated in the peace and repentance rally at Uhuru Park earlier today also agreed to concede defeat should they not win in the March 4th elections or a subsequent runoff.

Those who participated in the rally included CORD’s Raila Odinga, Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta, Narc-Kenya’s Martha Karua, Restore and Build Kenya candidate James Ole Kiyiapi, the Eagle Alliance Peter Kenneth and Alliance for Real Change (ARK) flag bearer Abduba Dida. The only candidate that was missing was the Amani coalition’s Musalia Mudavadi.

Each of the candidates used their opportunity at the podium to urge Kenyans to vote peacefully and wisely and (most importantly) to accept the results of the elections.

Dida, whose penchant for unorthodox reasoning has earned him more than a few supporters, asked his fellow leaders to repent for their past sin against the people of Kenya;

“If you have grabbed someone’s land, please return it to the owner and ask God for forgiveness,” he said.

 Kenneth meanwhile asked the leaders not to try and divide Kenyans;

“Kenyans are a peaceful people and no leader should ever again divide Kenyans on the basis of tribe, ethnicity, race or creed,” he said.

Owuor for his part said that he was glad that the leaders had heeded the call for a peace and repentance rally;

“Kenya is being born again. There will be no violence. I now decree that Kenya is a peaceful country and a repentant nation,” said Owuor.

A UHURU KENYATTA Presidency …… Tough WARNING to the US and EU from MUSEVENI, KAGAME and four others

It seems Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s journey to State House is unstoppable now, after six  African Presidents wrote a letter to the United Nations on Wednesday, warning the European Union and United States of America against imposing sanctions on Kenya if Uhuru Kenyatta wins the presidency on March 4th.

The Head of States from Uganda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi and DRC warned that if they dare impose sanctions, they will cut diplomatic ties with them because they rely on the stability of Kenya for their survival.

Rwanda and Uganda further added they will pull out troops from Sudan and Somalia if that happens.

The Presidents insisted that Kenyans are mature enough to elect their leaders and must be respected.

"We say this with affirm our right to live. And we mean it," the letter added.

The Presidents are; Uganda strongman Kaguta Museveni, Rwanda President Paul Kagame, Burundi President Pierre Nkurunziza, Silvia Kiir of South Sudan, Ethiopia President Girma Wolde-Giorgis, and DRC President Joseph Kabila

Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta has been indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) and at the same time he is a Presidential candidate in the incoming poll.

EU and US have threatened the country with economic sanctions if Uhuru ascends to the top seat on March 4th.

ROMOUR: Is it TRUE?? UHURU/RUTO’s ICC cases … EXCLUSIVE apology of MORENO OCAMPO to Kenyans

There is a small piece doing rounds of former International Criminal Court (ICC) Chief Prosecutor Moreno Ocampo breaking his long silence by apologizing to Kenyans following indictment of four Kenyans suspects during his tenure as a prosecutor.

In a statement purportedly leaked by an ICC insider, Moreno who is currently working with International Federation Association Football (FIFA) as legal officer in Zurich Switzerland, said he was forced by Western Nations to nail the four suspects, though there was no convincing evidence to commit them to trial.

Moreno, who is an Argentina national, said he was particularly cornered by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to nail the four suspects, saying he had no intention of committing them to trial.

Below is an apology letter of Moreno Ocampo (We cannot confirm this but are working on it. For now have the letter)

Dear Kenyans

I have taken so much time thinking about this statement and I have decided to apologize to the people of Kenya.

When I was the Chief Prosecutor at the ICC, I came under intense pressure from countries that were funding my office to do something with the Kenyan violence. We did investigations, but we could not come up with a watertight case.

But former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan pressed my office to heavily rely on statements that had been collected by Justice Waki.

In addition, he gave me recommendations and names of people who were suspected of fueling the violence. The initial list had President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Politically, it was not viable to indict them, that is why we had to settle on the six. As of now, I regret why I succumbed to much pressure from the donors to indict the six Kenyans.

Let the truth be said. I hope my successorFatou Bensouda who opposed the indictments in the first place, can have the courage to drop the charges.

Prezzoldie Opera

Tragedy has a way of striking at the most inopportune moment. The death of Goldie on Valentine’s Day painted gloom on celebville across Africa with the consequent marriage claims creating mystery around a pop star we thought we knew so well. Giving an account of his personal encounter with her, Stevens Muendo unveils to you the Prezzo-Goldie secrets you probably didn’t know
On a cold August 5 (2012) night, I and nine other entertainment writers from across Africa were ushered into the Sasani Studios in Randburg, Johannesburg where a select crowd had converged to witness the Big Brother Africa StarGame grand finale.
Kenyan housemate CMB Prezzo had made history, becoming the first Kenyan contestant to make it to the BBA finals, ever. He had professed his love for fellow housemate and singer Goldie, from Nigeria. The move attracted continental buzz.
The passions in their ‘relationship’ had become the driving force of the 90-day reality TV show and on this night, all eyes were on Prezzo — who many believed would take home the Sh25 million winner’s cash prize — and once out, Goldie!
Prezzo and South Africa’s Keagan were the two last men standing and as the event’s moderator waited for the buzz to drop a notch, before announcing the winner — inside the auditorium — tension between South African and Kenyan fans reigned supreme. There, before her man during his defining moment, Goldie buried her head inside her arms, emotional. She was in prayer...silently.
After Keagan was announced the winner, she wept helplessly as she walked to embrace and comfort Prezzo. It was a dull cold night for both.
When all the housemates gathered to meet their fans during the all-night party, Johannesburg’s media spotlight was on the two, who remained hand-in-hand as they fielded Press interviews.
“I am a very simple girl. I was raised in a Christian family and grew up reciting Bible verses in church. My mother was a choir mistress and my dad was a pastor,” Goldie said as I settled for my interview with her.
“I grew up dreaming of becoming a musician but my parents were not really for this because of their religious strictness. That is why it took long for me to become a secular artiste,” she added.
The interview became lively as we talked about her music success and her studies in the United Kingdom, as well as the pertinent issue of the on-and-off love affair with Prezzo during their BBA stay.
Prezzo was by her side, sipping a drink and posing for pictures as a battery of journalists swarmed around us. Occasionally, he would join in the interview.
“Baby, tell him everything. This is my ni**ga,” he would cheer on.
“Are the two of you planning to take this affair beyond TV. Do we expect you in Kenya anytime soon?” I asked.
“Prezzo should tell you if he wants me to come to Kenya. He is the man in this relationship. If he offers me the chance, I will come over,” she said, a witty grin revealing through her lips.
“I love Prezzo and the whole world knows that. We have been discussing on how to take this affair to the next level and only time will tell,” she added before gesturing towards an attentive Prezzo with a nod.
“Goldie is coming to the city in the sun (Nairobi) sooner than you know it. This is a step by step kind of affair. Nairobi is now her other home,” Prezzo remarked. As if to get confirmation from the other, after every answer, they would exchange glances, sometimes breaking into laughter as Prezzo teased Goldie referring to her as “the First Lady”.
Even though most journalists took their confessions with a pinch of salt, anyone who has known Prezzo over the years could tell that the hip-hop star had made up his mind to give Goldie a go.
They had stood against a heavy barrage of continent-wide criticism and self created handles inside the BBA house. They shared a bed for weeks.
They had laughed and cried together. It looked like an affair made for TV yet, away from the viewers, there seemed to be a trace of hope that these two would be an item after BBA.
“I was raised in a humble way and my life is an open book for all. I never have nothing to hide. See you in Nairobi soon. You can call me on my phone whenever you want to ask anything,” Goldie told me before the two left the party together to their hotel room, in the early morning hour.
Simple, humble and transparent girl are not the image BBA viewers knew of Goldie. In fact, they perceived her as a mysterious and multifaceted introvert whose cleverly calculated approach to her fellow housemates baffled many.
We had watched the South-western Nigerian-born turn foes to friends. Friends who had sang praises about her as she entered the BBA house on that Sunday, May 6 night, were now crusading against her, admonishing her as a disgrace to Nigeria.
She didn’t care about all that and, true to her character, her focus remained centred on whatever she believed was right for her — winning Prezzo’s heart.
Even though the two talked about Prezzo’s daughter Zahrie and their past relationships and life experiences, it was only after Prezzo made his visit to Lagos in Nigeria when they shared details about his separation with his wife Daisy Kiplangat.
During the August 2012 visit, it became evident that the two were in love and in another two weeks, Goldie was in Nairobi to visit Prezzo.
Critics still argue that the For Sho 4 Shizzo rapper was merely pushing the relationship to cement his showbiz base in Africa even as he pushed his My City My Town hit single.
However, all that seemed to fizzle out with time as Prezzo pushed the affair further treating Goldie to a leisure tour in the United States where the two attended a Jay Z concert.
“We had been working on the relationship. This wasn’t for show. We travelled across the world and started working on our music projects together even as we discussed our marriage. We were to finalise everything on Valentine’s Day,” a heartbroken Prezzo said last Friday, a day after jetting into Lagos for the couple’s Valentine’s Day date only to get the shocking news that his lover had succumbed to pulmonary embolism (a condition caused by blockage of blood vessels in the lungs causing blood clot). She passed on only hours after arriving from Los Angeles where she had gone to attend the annual Grammy Awards.
And how twisted could it be that love that was brewed in such an unlikely spot, with the whole continent questioning it, would end dramatically and tragically — on a Valentine’s Day.
Like a clip cut from a fiction Hollywood movie, the two celebrities were on separate flights before the sun set on the Nigerian pop star. By the time the Kenyan rapper was arriving in Lagos, Goldie had been pronounced dead.
Even after the nine-month Romeo and Juliet sort of affair had ended with the tragic death of the 31-year-old Nigerian singer (whose real name is Susan Filani), the drama that followed has left the world puzzled.
There was Andrew Harvey, the Briton who brought in a fresh twist to the saga after he published photos of his 2005 wedding with the pop singer — two days after the Thursday night Reddington Hospital, in Victoria Island, Lagos death.
Did she ever tell Prezzo she was married to another man?
Why was he quiet all this time?
Is there something Prezzo knew about Goldie that he didn’t tell the world?

TRUE FACTS about RAILA ODINGA’s Education Background:

TRUE FACTS ABOUT RAILA EDUCATION:

- He never graduated from Maranda due to poor grades. He still holds the record of repeating several classes there, becoming the oldest student before finally quitting.

- He was the first African to study abroad without scholarship at a time when even his own father was securing scholarships for
intelligent Africans e.g. Dr. Munyua Waiyaki, Dr. Odongo Omamo, etc. Raila's POOR grades didn't qualify him for scholarships.

- He does not have a real degree e.g Masters or Bachelors. Again, Wamalwa challenged him on this but he couldn't provide his certificates as evidence of his successful education.

- At the UON, he is RUMOURED to have been an Assistant Lecturer (nobody knows how he got it without a degree) who didn't teach students. His movement was restricted to the labs.

- Raila used to promote rumors that he studied nuclear engineering. Then he started saying that it was mechanical when cornered to explain how he started the East African Spectra...

- No wonder Orange house has never released his certificates online to quell the romours on his education, even after questions arose in the wake of the expose from Miguna Miguna book on his education background.

N/B: even Obama released his birth certificate online when questions arose on his country of birth!

THERE YOU HAVE IT... Very soon the political conman will be exposed for what he realy is... BY THE IEBC stringent conditions on education for presidencial candidates.

Shock as 60pc of Tanzania students fail national exam

Six out of every 10 Tanzanian students who sat last year’s ordinary secondary level examinations attained the lowest grade possible, government results showed Monday.
Close to 54 per cent of students tested picked up Division Zero in National Form IV exams, a big rise from the 32 per cent who had failed to score in 2011.
Some were so dismal that they instead resorted to writing insults on the answer sheets after the realisation that they were completely unprepared.
Private schools dominated the charts of best performers. Of the top 20, only two public schools made it to the list, with a flustered government blaming inadequate teachers and poor infrastructure.
Some 397,126 students of the 411,230 who were registered sat the national exam. Of these, only 23,520 of these managed to score between Division One and Division Three, just under six per cent of those who were eligible.
Some 1,641 scored Division One, a drop of 0.68 per cent on the number of those who excelled the previous year.
Tanzania has a basic five-tier educational structure, with those who pass Form IV proceeding for two more years of advanced secondary education if they so elect.
The results of 789 pupils were nullified for cheating, a drop from the 3,303 who opted to use unfair means in 2011.
Some 24 students will be charged in a court of law for using insulting language in the examination.
"We cannot tolerate this habit, those who wrote abusive words should be charged as barring them from attempting the exams prepared by (national examining body) Necta is not enough," Educational and Vocational training minister Shukuru Kawamba said.
They will also not be allowed to take any examination prepared by the National Examination Council (Necta) for a year and may face the law as per examinations regulations.
The results of close to 30,000 students were withheld and will be released only when they pay their examination fees.
As in previous years, boys performed better than girls: of the students who scored Division One, only 568 were girls as opposed to 1,073 boys.
Some 16,342 boys scored between Division One and Three, compared to 7,178 girls.
There is little difference though between boys and girls who completely failed their examination: a total 120,664 boys scored Division Zero, comparable to 120,239 girls.

Bush envoy denounces Carson on Kenya poll

Former US assistant secretary of state Jendayi Frazer. Ms Frazer questioned the ICC’s legitimacy, saying the court is “a very manipulated institution, particularly by the West.” Photo/FILE
Ms Frazer said the US has consistently maintained contact with Sudan President Omar al Bashir since his indictment by the ICC in 2008 on charges of war crimes.New York
The woman who held the State Department’s top Africa post prior to Ambassador Johnnie Carson denounced on Wednesday his recent warning to Kenyan voters of possible “consequences” stemming from their choice of president in the March 4 election.“I am troubled by Johnnie Carson’s statement that is essentially meddling in Kenya’s election,” declared Jendayi Frazer, who served as the Bush administration’s assistant secretary of state for African affairs from 2005 to 2009.“It is very reckless and irresponsible, given that the election is very close, for us to try to intervene in Kenya’s election decision,” Ms Frazer added.
“We should not be threatening Kenyans about their choice by pointing to an ICC case that is not proven.”
“I think the ICC case against Uhuru Kenyatta is a weak one and is based on hearsay,” Ms Fraser added.
Speaking at a Washington think tank forum on Kenya’s election, Ms Frazer questioned the ICC’s legitimacy, saying the court is “a very manipulated institution, particularly by the West.”
Ms Frazer's stinging criticism of Ambassador Carson's "consequences" statement struck some observers as a partisan attack by a Republican Party supporter on a Democratic administration's leading Africa diplomat.
Ms Frazer's remarks drew a sharp rejoinder from Karuti Kanyinga, a professor at the University of Nairobi who took part in the forum at the Brookings Institution.
"The ICC is the best thing for Kenya," Prof Kanyinga said. He described Kenya as "a country where senior and influential people are never held to account for anything whatsoever." The ICC serves to warn those suspected of serious crimes that "no matter how far you run, no matter where you go, you will be treated like an ordinary person."
Ms Frazer's comments also prompted a critical response from Makau Matua, the dean of a law school affiliated with the State University of New York.
The Republican former official, along with her boss, President Bush, "never liked the ICC," Prof Matua told the Nation. "And how does she know the case is hearsay? That's a Uhuru line."
Asked at the forum how she would respond to a Kenyatta victory if she were still a senior State Department official, Ms Frazer replied that the US government “should continue to work with the Kenyan government until the point somebody is tried and convicted.”
“I would be very pragmatic,” she said, noting that the United States is not a signatory to the treaty that established the International Criminal Court.
Ms Frazer added that the US has consistently maintained contact with Sudan President Omar al Bashir since his indictment by the ICC in 2008 on charges of war crimes.
“Even if the Kenyan people vote for Uhuru to be president, I’m positive the US administration will deal with him,” Ms Frazer said. She noted in this context that Secretary of State John Kerry had engaged in diplomacy with Sudan’s leadership as an emissary of President Obama.
The former assistant secretary of state expressed optimism that widespread violence will be avoided in the coming election.
Ms Frazer, who now serves as distinguished service professor at Carnegie Mellon University in the US, cited Kenya’s new Constitution, the country’s more independent judiciary and the comparative credibility of its new election commission as key factors that will help produce a peaceful outcome.
In addition, Kenya’s strong civil society “is not going to allow politicians to mobilise violence” in 2013, she said.

Royal Media Services vs CCK: The Full Story Of Drama, Betrayal and Threats

Royal Media Services vs CCK: The Full Story Of Drama, Betrayal and Threats
So, what happened to the Royal Media Services case against the Communications Commission of Kenya, which announced that it would shut down transmitters set up by the media group?
Immediately after the announcement was made, RMS went on the defense, claiming that CCK's actions were politically motivated. "We know this is an attempt by some government officials to gag the media ahead of the elections," said Anyang' Nyong'o. This, members of the CORD Alliance said, was because of the proprietor S. K. Macharia's affiliation to the Raila Odinga-fronted coalition.
The CCK had shut down six radio stations and Citizen TV services in some parts of the country, including Nakuru, Narok, Mukuyuni in Makueni, Mambrui and Malindi. The CCK countered RMS' claims saying the media house was using unauthorised or ‘grabbed’ frequencies.
Addressing a weekly briefing on media monitoring, CCK Chairman Bitange Ndemo dared RMS to go court if they felt the move to shut down the frequencies was unfair. In one of the swiftest judgments ever handed down by a Kenyan court, RMS was able to block CCK's actions.
“We are not politicians. We are civil servants. CCK is just exercising its mandate,” Dr. Ndemo reiterated when suggestions that he was working for political forces. Here's a list of all the reasons CCK took actions against RMS.
To further explain how RMS transmitters were illegally put up, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority director of safety and security, Joe Mutungi, said airline operators had complained about interference in their communication caused by the illegal frequencies.
The CCK Secretary Mr. John Omo challenged suggestions that the case should be revisited after the elections, "Freedom of the media cannot be used to do illegal things. This is impunity in name of freedom of media and should not be allowed to put lives of pilot and passengers in jeopardy. The law is the law, you cannot say we should postpone operation of the law because of elections."
In a statement, CCK said the six transmitters were part of 17 put up illegally by Royal Media Services in the recent past without a licence from CCK, and therefore in contravention of the law. They confirmed that the matter had been in court since May, 2012 and the high court only ruled on it--in CCK's favour--on 18th January.
Mr. Francis Wangusi who is the Director-General of Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) said they confiscated transmitters in Nanyuki, Narok, Migori, Nakuru, Mwingi and other areas were being operated by RMS using self-assigned frequencies. The transmitters are located in Karue Hill, Vuria Hill, Muranga-Gatare, Enchoro Hill, Mukuyuni and Mambrui in Malindi.
High Court judge, David Majanja gave the CCK the greenlight to act against Royal Media saying the communications regulator followed the law when it shut down six transmitters owned by the company.
Two days later, the DPP, Keriako Tobiko replied to Mr. Wangusi saying, “In the meantime, I direct that no investigative agency should take any precipitate step to charge RMS and Mr. Macharia or any of its employees until I have received and reviewed the requested material and directed otherwise.”
This, the DDP, said was guided by Article 157 of the Constitution which gives him the obligation to ensure that any exercise of the State powers of prosecution by him does not include an abuse of the legal process.
Late last week, CCK wrote to the DPP asking for criminal charges to be pressed against the directors of RMS for operating unlicensed frequencies. Mr. Wangusi has tabled the evidence, which was acquired with the help of the CID, before Mr. Tobiko for the court process to begin.
"We want them charged with acquiring and using frequencies without licences, using non-approved equipment and interfering with frequencies of other operators,” Mr Wangusi told The Nation.
He also issued a warning, should they decicde to be lenient to the media house, “If we don’t act on such irregularities with immediacy, we will only start to regret after air accidents occur,” he said. This came only days after RMS had tried blocking the initial court order.
There have been reports that there are over 100 radio stations in the country but the CCK insists that only 85 are licensed. The CCK also recognizes 20 television stations.

Now we know why Goldie and husband kept their marriage secret

Now we know why Goldie and husband kept their marriage secret
I'm now only left to wonder whether Prezzo knew about Goldie's marital status since he was ready to propose to her on Valentines Day.
Goldie's marital status was a mystery to many. Only her closest friends and family knew that she was a married woman. They even managed to keep it from the media.
Two days after Goldie's death, her husband shows up and tells all. He even posts photos of their secret wedding on Goldie's facebook page and tells off Prezzo.
Now, he tells Africa why he kept their marriage secret through an interview with one of Nigeria's leading newspapers.
Apparently, Goldie and Andrew decided never to let out news of their marriage so as to protect their private lives. No evidence of their wedding whatsoever was left in their Nigerian home. Not even photos. Everything that represented and symbolised their marriage was kept in their UK home.
They even agreed on not wearing wedding rings, after the original ones got lost.
"We had wedding bands and swapped them at the church wedding, they were oversize. After the wedding I was on assignment in Houston and took them for resizing. The day of leaving, all my things were stolen from my hired car and I had to delay my journey to get new passport and visa. We both agreed that as the blessed rings had been stolen, we did not want to wear unblessed rings. From there, we decided that neither of us would wear ring again," Andrew Harvey said.
